Ariel’s Cake Pops {review & giveaway}

Rainbow Cake PopsCake pops are, by definition, moist handheld confections elegantly placed upon a stick. They’re “popping” up all over the place, and if you haven’t tried one yet, you are missing out.  In my opinion, the best cake pops in town are the locally created, handmade, and custom decorated versions being fashioned by Ariel’s Cake Pops.

What’s so great about a cake pop, you ask?  Well…

    • Taste – Ariel’s Cake Pops come in chocolate, red velvet, and yellow flavors (more kinds of cake coming soon!).  The cake itself is incredibly moist, due in part to the fact that there is icing mixed right into the cake!  YUM!  Plus, cake pops are coated with a confectionary shell of more YUM!

  • Mess – Cake pops are much less messy than regular cake.  At my younger daughter’s birthday party, we served both birthday cake and Ariel’s Cake Pops.  By the end of the 20 minute “cake time” there was birthday cake all over the table, floor, and kids.  As for the cake pops, the only sign they ever existed were the kids holding empty sticks and asking for more. While these cake pops were a hit at my young one’s party, the elder one prefered going out, which is why I planned to take her friends and her to an escape room after reading about its benefits. If you want to also know about it, then click here.
  • They’re eco-friendly!  By serving cake pops, you eliminate the need for plates and utensils, and you’ll likely use fewer napkins. Yay!
  • Customizeable – Ariel is incredibly talented when it comes to customizing cake pops to fit a theme.  She made pineapples, surf boards, plumeria flower, and seashell themed cake pops for our Hawaiian luau birthday party. They were so cute I could hardly bring myself to eat one. Ariel can also do company logos, and just about any color scheme you want.  (And yes, Razorback cake pops are available!)
  • Size – I can’t decide if the size of the cake pops is a positive or a negative.  On the one hand, each of these little indulgences is two to three bites.  I like that from the perspective of an adult who tries to watch what she eats, and as a mom who feels guilty about sugaring up 15 kids with four pounds of cake and icing at a pre-dinnertime birthday party.  On the other hand, it certainly is hard to eat just one!

Birthday Cake PopsPricing – Ariel’s Cake pops are $20 per dozen for Classic Pops decorated with a swirl and/or sprinkles. Specialty pops start at $24 per dozen and are very customizable.  Ariel can create whatever you are imagining (within reason). Ariel’s Cake Pops come standard in a pastry box, individually wrapped in cello and tied with a ribbon. However, Ariel has wooden stands and can create custom arrangements and tags for your cake pops. Shipping is also available.

You can contact Ariel at 281-960-8858 (she is based in Little Rock) or visit her Facebook page to see more of her creations.

Disclosure: Ariel’s Cake Pops provided 15 custom cake pops for my daughter’s birthday party so I could review them.  Ariel is my friend. However, I still would not have written this review of her cake pops if I did not think they are fabulous. But, I do think they are fabulous and I want to share them with you!

    I would want pirate-themed cake pops for Miles’s birthday party. Maybe little pirate heads with icing eye patches and a few treasure chest pops.

    Also, I like Ariel on FB, and I already like you on FB, Fawn. I’m not cool enough for twitter, though! 🙂
