Free Trees and Showerheads = Energy Savings for Arkansas Residents!

There are two great opportunities going on right now for utilities customers in Arkansas.

Energy Saving TreesFirst, Entergy customers can order three FREE 2 to 4 foot trees of their choice. The trees are 100% free, no strings attached as long as Entergy customers plant them in an energy-saving location. There are 10 different trees to choose from including Red Maple, Crapemyrtle, Baldcypress, American Sweetgum, and Redbud. Go to www.arborday.org/entergy to claim your tree. You’ll be guided through the process of mapping your house and identifying the most energy-efficient locations around your house to plant your selected tree, and then schedule shipping.  The deadline for ordering trees is November 26th!

Second, Centerpoint is offering FREE energy-saving, low flow shower heads and faucet aerators designed to reduce water use. By reducing your water use, you save money, too!! The aerators and shower heads are available in chrome or ivory to match both your kitchen or bathroom finishes. This offer is available only to CenterPoint Energy residential natural gas customers in Minnesota, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the Texas communities of Texarkana, Wake Village, Red Water and Nash. The deadline to order is December 30, 2011. Go here to order up to 3 shower heads and 3 aerators.

Have you implemented any energy-saving measures in your home?
