Free Fun For Families: March 11-18

Now thru April 1Spring Break  Activities @ Arkansas State Parks
School’s out, State Parks are in! Adventure awaits students and their families searching for a break from the academic grind.  Kayaking, lake tours, night hikes, demonstrations, games, fun and excitement are offered daily beginning Friday, March 9 and ending Sunday, April 1.  Go Here to find events near you.

Tuesday, March 13A Seuss Celebration @ Laman Library, 6:45pm
Come join us as we explore the wonderfully wacky, and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss!!!

Saturday and Sunday, March 17-18 Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival  in Bigelow, 9am-5pm
Come out to Wye Mountain to see the beautiful fields full of blooming daffodils. There will also be crafts, food, and bulbs available for purchase.  Donations are accepted. You can check their Facebook Fan Page for more details.

Saturday, March 17 –  Kindersongs Concert @ Main Library Branch, 10:30am
Come check out local children’s musicians Brian & Terri Kinder as they sing, dance, and entertain during a 45 minute concert for kids of all ages!

Saturday, March 17 – Archeology Day @ Petit Jean State Park. March is Archeology Month in Arkansas, and you are invited to spend a day discovering some of the archeological treasures of Petit Jean Mountain, including the genuine Native American pictographs of Rock House Cave. Contact the park for a schedule.

Monday – Saturday March 19-24Spring Break Activities @ The Clinton Center,  10:00am – 2:00pm
The Center’s Garden View Room will be transformed into a baseball diamond filled with hands-on activity stations including interactive baseball games, puzzles, coloring, trivia and more. Each participant will receive commemorative baseball cards and Crackerjacks. Spring Break activities are free; however, regular admission fees apply to tour the Library.

Monday, March 19Learn to Skate Lesson @ The Arkansas Skatium, 10:00am-11:00am
Give ice skating a try and see if you can find your inner Sacha Cohen or Brian Boytano.

Wednesday, March 21 – Little Beginnings Toddler Program @ Old Statehouse Museum 10:30am
The Little Beginnings toddler program is for children ages 2 through 4 with parent. Each month the class will highlight a different topic and promote learning through hands-on activities, music making, movement and storytelling.Call (501) 324-9685 for more information.
