Arkansas Women Bloggers
As we step into the new year with all of our new goals, projects, and wishes sharply in focus, I wanted to take a moment to tell you about Arkansas Women Bloggers (ARWB). ARWB has just re-launched the website, and it’s a great place to read blog posts and find blogs from all over the Natural State. And, if you happen to be a blogger (or a wanna-be blogger), you’ll find a community where you can gather, grow, and connect with your fellow bloggers in a variety of different ways.
I’ve been lucky enough to be part of this organization since it started in the head of one Arkansas Woman Blogger about three years ago. The Park Wife wanted to create a place where bloggers could link up with one another, share posts, and do some networking. She created a website, and soon asked myself and Julie from Eggs and Herbs to lend a hand. We were pretty proud of ourselves when we had 40, then 50, then 60 bloggers from Arkansas linked up on our site. Imagine our amazement when we found ourselves with over 400 blogs linked up in the summer of 2011! We pulled in the ever-enthusiastic Beth from The Little Magpie and Ozark Natural Science Center and whipped up a weekend “unplugged” conference where we had the chance to meet up with bloggers “IRL”. Now, we’re continuing to grow with a new website and plans to roll several fun events and projects during 2012.
So, if you’re looking for blogs to read, or are thinking about starting a blog, head over to the Arkansas Women Bloggers website check out the regional directories to find blogs in your area. If you’re a blogger, be sure and Join – it’s free and it’ll get you a listing in the directory, along with access to meetups, conferences, and more fun projects. Whether you are a blogger or not, I’ll encourage you to submit a guest post for the ARWB site. We’d also love to have your feedback and suggestions, which you can send us via the contact page. We’re looking forward to your visit!
