Free Federal File from Turbo Tax
It’s tax time again. Some of you are shivering in fright and some of you are quivering in excitement, I know. I’ve always done our taxes, as well as my mother-in-law’s taxes. For a few years I switched back and forth between HR & Block’s software and Turbo Tax. Now, I stick with Turbo Tax every year.
Our taxes are a little complex since we own property in two different states and I have self-employed income. With Turbo Tax, everything is easy to understand, and anything that I’m unsure about I can get answers for via their live customer support. So, yes, I’m endorsing Turbo Tax and recommending it to you. It’s a whole heck of a lot cheaper than paying hundreds of dollars to have someone do your taxes for you. It’s really not that hard, I promise. At the least, I would recommend walking through the Turbo Tax software with your tax information to see if it works for you (it’s free to download).
This year, Turbo Tax is offering free e-file of your simple federal return, so you’ll save even more money on your taxes. You’ll have to pay $27.95 for your state software and e-file, but you’d pay that anyway.
Disclosure: This post has affiliate links in it. However, I really do use Turbo Tax to do my taxes. All opinions expressed within are my own.
