Tuesday, March 6 – Kindersongs Concert @ Milam Library Branch (Perryville), 7:00pm
Come check out local children’s musicians Brian & Terri Kinder as they sing, dance, and entertain during a 45 minute concert for kids of all ages!
Thursday, March 8 – Free Concert featuring Blue Fiddle @ Laman Library, 7:00pm
Blue Fiddle is the long, rich history of American music incarnate. Drawing from Irish, bluegrass, folk, roots, jazz, polka and Southern rock, their signature sound takes you on a journey-from a Civil War era campfire, to an Ozark mountain foot stomp; from an impromptu jamboree on a neighbor’s front porch, to a cozy, wood-paneled Dublin pub. Blue Fiddle is fueled by the band members’ longtime friendship and powered by extraordinary musical talent.
March 9 – April 1 – Spring Break Activities @ Arkansas State Parks
School’s out, State Parks are in! Adventure awaits students and their families searching for a break from the academic grind. Kayaking, lake tours, night hikes, demonstrations, games, fun and excitement are offered daily beginning Friday, March 9 and ending Sunday, April 1. Go Here to find events near you.
Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11 Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival in Bigelow, 9am-5pm
Come out to Wye Mountain to see the beautiful fields full of blooming daffodils. There will also be crafts, food, and bulbs available for purchase. Donations are accepted. You can check their Facebook Fan Page for more details.
Saturday, March 10 – Arkansas Children’s Hospital Health Fair @ Park Plaza Mall, 10am-4pm
Kids and their parents move through numbered stations to learn more about your health with fun activities, health screenings, and lots of goodies! This is the 30th anniversary of this event. Last year’s booth line-up included: Angel One Transport, All Eyes on Kids, Noah Cavities, Burn Prevention, Picture Yourself a Surgeon, Hop, Skip & Jump, Nutrition with Brock Lee, Hula for Health, Dr. Nose, What is Anesthesia?, Germ Busters, Fitness Fun Dice Game and Fingercasting.
Saturday March 10 – Saturday Programs @ The Old State House Museum, 10am-3:30pm
10:00-10:30— Let’s Play! Play popular games of the 1800s (Whistle Stop Station/Front Lawn weather permitting) 11:00-11:30—Knife Fight! Experience the famous 1837 duel like you never have before: with jokes! (1836 House of Representatives Chamber) 12:00-12:30— Let’s Meet! Ida Jo Brooks, First Female Doctor in Arkansas (1836 House of Representatives Chamber) 1:00-1:30— Let’s Play! Play Faro, the most popular card game of the 1800s (Whistle Stop Station) 2:00-2:30—Knife Fight! Experience the famous 1837 duel like you never have before: with jokes! (1836 House of Representatives Chamber) 2:30-3:00—Let’s Create! Practice the historic art of shell craft (Whistle Stop Station) 3:00-3:30— Let’s Meet! Meet Ida Jo Brooks, the first female doctor in Arkansas
Saturday, March 10 – Arboretum Night Hike @ Pinnacle Mountain, 7:30pm
A whole new world emerges as nighttime falls in the forest. A park interpreter will help you explore how both human and animal senses adapt to low light levels. Please wear sturdy shoes; no sandals!

Saturday, March 17 – Archeology Day @ Petit Jean State Park. March is Archeology Month in Arkansas, and you are invited to spend a day discovering some of the archeological treasures of Petit Jean Mountain, including the genuine Native American pictographs of Rock House Cave. Contact the park for a schedule.
