Savvy Blogging Summit – Learn With Me

Savvy Blogging Summit – Learn With Me

I am slowly making my way back across the country following my first blog conference.  I learned so much at the Savvy Blogging Summit. It will likely take me months to get back through all the material and implement all the great tools and tips I picked up.  I will be blogging about this process as I go, so stay tuned! In the meantime, as a summit attendee, I have the ability to share the blog … Read entire article »

An Earth Month Equation

An Earth Month Equation

Little Rock friends, in honor of Earth Month, I have a little eco-friendly math for you (keep in mind that math is not my strong suit). + = Every Thursday in April, you can take 10 plastic bags to the EcoFab Store and trade them in for an awesome reusable bag!  They also run this special from time to time in other months.  You can check their store calendar to see when. Reusable Bags are better than plastic bags … Read entire article »

What’s New with Duck Duck Goose?

Duck Duck Goose, the premier consignment sale in Arkansas, is open for business in Little Rock starting today.  The Duck Duck Goose Little Rock sale is the largest consignment sale I’ve ever been to.  I’m always impressed with the selection and the pricing.  Duck Duck Goose also has sales coming up in Conway, Jacksonville, and Pine Bluff. Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend pre-sale day.  In addition to finding some items I’ve had on my to-buy-for-the-kids list for quite a while, I also visited with Lynn Beardsley, the right hand lady to Duck Duck Goose owner Cyndi Brantley.  Lynn told me about some new events you’ll find at the sale this year.   Junior Rush – if I had a teen or a pre-teen, I’d be all over this.  It’s a little-known … Read entire article »

It’s Your Bag, Baby. (giveaway)

Reusable Shopping Bags.  One of the hottest things going, for sure.  It makes me so happy to see more and more shoppers toting them into Kroger every time I go.  Sure, getting in the habit of using the bags takes some practice and has some hazards, as Karen from Big Green Head points out in this blog post, but it’s worth it. In addition to saving resources, using reusable bags has it’s rewards.  As I mentioned in my post about ways to save at the grocery store, you’ll get a 3 to 5 cent credit per bag at the register, depending on the store. Reusable bags hold more groceries than traditional paper or plastic, which means fewer trips between the car and the house when you get home! While we’re talking about … Read entire article »

Shoppers, Take Your Marks

In my house, Black Friday is left to my Hubby, since he loves a deal just as much as I do, and he enjoys the thrill of the hunt and the adrenaline rush of competing with all those other crazed shoppers. For those of you with similar passions, Deal Seeking Mom is providing you with some great sneak peeks at all the Black Friday Deals. You’ll have to scroll through her previous posts to see them all, but just within the first three pages of posts, she has the goods on Macy’s, PetSmart, Little Tykes, Thomas the Train, and Michaels. Further back you’ll find lists for KMart, Office Depot, Big Lots, and CVS.  More deals to come, I imagine. Also, if you’re near a Tanger Outlet Mall, be aware that … Read entire article »
