This Week: Sunday, January 8 – Free Programs @ Pinnacle Mountain State Park Winter Waterfowl, 9am – Discover some of the different migratory birds that you may see at Pinnacle Mountain through this presentation. Afterwards, play a game called “Name that Waterfowl.” East Quarry Hike, 1pm-4pm – the East Quarry peak is an interesting area for unique rocks, plants, animals, park and area history, and amazing vista landscapes. Join us for a mildly strenuous 2 1/2 mile hike. Please bring plenty of water and sturdy shoes; binoculars and cameras are recommended! Nature Scavenger Hunt, 2pm – Can you find the tree with the scaly bark or the tree with thorns? Meet a park interpreter and test your visual skills with a unique nature scavenger hunt activity. At 9am there’s an Intermediate Level First Day Hike up the West Summit of Pinnacle Mountain. Let’s Talk About Turtles begins at 10 a.m. Learn the difference between a red-eared slider and a three-toed box turtle, view, a live specimen, and make your own paper plate turtle to take home. They can bring sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, etc… and books to read (or check some out at the library). Snacks will be provided. Wednesday, December 28 – Eagle Tour @ Lake Dardanelle State Park, 9:00am Lake Dardanelle State Park is proud to offer free winter lake cruises for the best chance of seeing our national symbol, the American bald eagle. Coping with Yaz Withdrawl
There are three main side effects of Yaz, Yasmin, Safyral, Beyaz, and their generic versions that myself and every other woman I’ve talked to or read forum posts from deal with: Anxiety, Nausea, and Fatigue. Unfortunately, each of these symptoms feed one another, so that after a while, it’s difficult to discern what is causing each symptom. Fatigue can cause anxiety, which causes nausea. Nausea (and therefore not eating) can cause fatigue due to lack of nutrients. And at least for me, I had anxiety about why I was so nauseous. Many women either don’t experience these symptoms at all until after they stop taking Yaz, or, they see a significant increase in symptoms once they are off the pill (as I have).
