Why Your Blog Needs a Facebook Page

Why Your Blog Needs a Facebook Page

I’ve been debating (avoiding) the idea of creating a separate Facebook page for my blog for a long time.  Truth be told, I really didn’t want to have one more piece of social media maintenance to deal with.  I also wrestled with the concept of developing my brand as being primarily myself as a person versus being primarily my blog name. But over the past month or so, I’ve come around to the realization that … Read entire article »

Passionate Penny Pincher: Blogging for Good

Passionate Penny Pincher: Blogging for Good

Today I have a blog post up over at Passionate Penny Pincher about ways to save at the grocery store without using coupons. I met the proprieter of Passionate Penny Pincher (wew!  that’s fun to say!) at the Savvy Blogging Summit earlier this month.  Laurie was immediately warm and friendly, and I was really intrigued when I learned that she donates half of all her blog income to charity.  Right now she is working toward being … Read entire article »

Savvy Blogging Summit – Learn With Me

Savvy Blogging Summit – Learn With Me

I am slowly making my way back across the country following my first blog conference.  I learned so much at the Savvy Blogging Summit. It will likely take me months to get back through all the material and implement all the great tools and tips I picked up.  I will be blogging about this process as I go, so stay tuned! In the meantime, as a summit attendee, I have the ability to share the blog … Read entire article »

#AWBU – Blogging with Purpose and Social Good

At the Arkansas Women Bloggers Unplugged conference, I had the pleasure of leading a discussion on blogging with purpose and for social good.  I thought I’d share some of what we discussed for those of you who are looking to inject some new energy into your blogging. The idea for this session came to me when I attended an overnight experiential learning program at Heifer Ranch called Global Village.  The Global Village has different  homes from … Read entire article »
