This Week: Wednesday, November 30 – Fall Fairy Festival @ Adolphine Fletcher Terry Library, 6:30pm Think a happy thought, sprinkle some pixie dust, and fly off to Terry Library for this fun event! We will be making lots of fairy crafts and eating fun fairy food. For girls of all ages. Wings and tutus encouraged! Friday, December 2 – Santa Comes Early @ Allsopp Park Promenade, 5:30pm School choirs will sing carols while you enjoy hot cocoa, cider and homemade cookies, courtesy of the Hillcrest Merchants Association. This Week: Thursday, November 10 – Live @ Laman 7:00pm An evening of musical fun featuring Artistry of the Guitar: Steve Davison, Ken Bonfield, and Micky Rigby. Feel free to bring a blanket and snacks. (The event is outside in nice weather and inside when it’s too cold!) Friday-Saturday, November 11-12 – Robotics Demonstrations @ The Clinton Center 10:00am – 2:00pm In partnership with the Science and Technology Group and FIRST® LEGO® League, the Clinton Center will showcase LEGO® MINDSTORMS Robotics. Arkansas FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) teams will present their robotic designs and demonstrate their problem solving skills, creative thinking and teamwork. Free Fun For Families: Oct 31-Nov 5
Not many free events going on this week, but don’t forget to check out the library schedules linked below. The library is always a great place for free family fun! This Week: Saturday – Sunday, November 5-6 – Pioneer Village Open House in Searcy Pioneer Village is a collection of 19th century building, farm equipment and other items of historic interest saved from throughout White County by the White County Historical Society. I’m a bit late on publishing this post for the week, but there are still lots of fun things to do in Central Arkansas that are FREE! October 26-28 – Pumpkin Carving Contest @ Pinnacle Mountain State Park Have your pumpkin on display at Pinnacle Mountain State Park for the Halloween weekend! Carve your pumpkin entry into a scene, activity, landform, plant, or animal found at the park. If enough pumpkins are entered between October 26 and 28, they will be lit and featured on the hayride route for hayride guests to enjoy as nighttime falls.
