Motherhood is Like a Cruise
Hubby and I were watching a “behind the scenes” type show about the cruise ship industry. They were talking about the tons of food that is prepared and consumed on each cruise, how much fuel is burned each day, and how many crewmembers working ten hour shifts for seven days in a row it takes to make the cruisers’ vacations magical. As the credits rolled, hubs said, “Can you imagine doing all that work every … Read entire article »

Motherhood: A Day in the Life #3 – Stephanie B
A Day in My Life: Learning to Savor the Moments I get to be a stay-at-home, homeschool mom. While some days are… let’s say, challenging (definition: wreak havoc on my entire being), most days I am able to stop and savor the moments with our two boys. And then we have our own lives and possibly a “second job” on top of that. Acts of Motherhood are performed with a million different variables coming into play. Each mother does things at least a little differently than the next, but there is one huge thing that ties us all together: we are all mothers. This week the guest posts that I will … Read entire article »

MOMcation 2012
You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting quite as much lately. That’s because I’ve been busy planning MOMcation 2012. This is the third year for MOMcation. It’s a weekend retreat for MOMs and MOMs-to-be to take some time out for themselves. When I came up with this idea back in 2009, I was looking for a way to show other moms how beneficial some me time could be. I wanted to put together something … Read entire article »
