Comments: Riverfront Park is a gorgeous City Park along the Arkansas River.  The “playground” is certainly unique, incorporating a lot of natural elements, like huge rocks to climb on and stairs hewn out of a ginormous log.  The splash pad is a big draw on hot days, with the ever-changing water sprays and a cascading waterfall. You’ll also find a major landmark here – “La Petit Roche”, or, The Little Rock, for which the city was named.  On Tuesday and Saturday mornings, you can walk across the parking lot to the Farmers’ Market in the Rivermarket Pavillions (closed Nov-March). Whether you are a local or visiting Little Rock, this is a must-do with kids.
