An Earth Month Equation
Little Rock friends, in honor of Earth Month, I have a little eco-friendly math for you (keep in mind that math is not my strong suit).

Every Thursday in April, you can take 10 plastic bags to the EcoFab Store and trade them in for an awesome reusable bag! They also run this special from time to time in other months. You can check their store calendar to see when.
Reusable Bags are better than plastic bags for many reasons:
- Plastic bags are made from petroleum (oil) and spend up to 1000 years in the landfill (or hanging on the barb wire fence next to Walmart) when they are thrown away. Every reusable bag you use can keep hundreds of plastic bags out of the landfill and save gallons of oil!
- Reusable bags are way better looking.
- One reusable bag holds at least twice as much as a plastic bag (fewer trips from the car to the house when unloading groceries).
- Most grocery stores will give you a credit at the register for using reusable bags, and some are even starting to charge you if you use the store’s plastic bags.
The reusable bags that EcoFab has available to those of you who want to repent your plastic bag habits are also super handy because they fold up into their own attached pocket. I carry one of these in my purse at all times so that when I am out running errands, I have at least one reusable bag to put small purchases in at each store.
So, get yourself over to EcoFab on a Thursday in April. They’re located next to Bravo! Restaurant in the Promenade shopping center in Chenal. Hours are 11am to 6pm. Mother Nature says thanks.

I am so bad about remembering to keep these in my car. OK, except my six-packer canvas one for wine. I hadn’t heard of this offer. Thanks for sharing.
I had no idea that companies were doing something like this. Even though I missed out on the April trade-in, I’ll be looking for things like this over the summer in NWA. I’ll let you know if I find anything!
