We Get to Drive a Leaf!

When Nissan announced the launch of their 100% electric car, the Leaf, I was pretty excited. I love the idea of a car that requires no gas (who doesn’t?) and I even like the look of the vehicle. The Nissan Leaf has some pretty impressive features when compared to the other “electric hybrids” currently available. We talked about whether it was feasable to own such a vehicle here in Little Rock, whether carseats would fit in the back, and how it could possibly make it to Branson and back. Ultimately we decided that we would lay our excitement aside until the Leaf has been around for a couple years and we could actually see one in person.

Then, tonight, Craig sent me an email saying that the Nissan Leaf drive electric tour will be in Memphis this weekend! So, we are scheduled to test drive a Leaf at 10:00am on Saturday morning. The kiddos will be coming along too, carseats and all, to test out the roominess in the back for us. Of course I will be blogging about it, but if you want to schedule your own test drive, go here.
