As a writer-type, I sometimes revolt against the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words”.  Unless the picture goes something like this:   My kids are ornery, and a bit lot hammy, so it’s hard to get good pictures of them.  Especially when they are around someone new and are trying to show off.  But, somehow, photographer Jennifer McHam manages to capture the exuberant personalities that my kiddos usually save for when the camera is out of sight.
