Monday, February 13Super Hero Mania @ Terry Library, 6:00pm
Your little Batman or Wonder Woman can dress as his or her favorite fictional vigilante for this evening of themed games and crafts.

Wednesday, February 15Little Beginnings Toddler Program @ Old Statehouse Museum, 10:30am
The Little Beginnings toddler program is for children ages 2 through 4 with parent. Each month the class will highlight a different topic and promote learning through hands-on activities, music making, movement and storytelling.Call (501) 324-9685 for more information.

Wednesday, February 15 Eagle Tour @ Lake Dardanelle State Park, 3:00pm
Lake Dardanelle State Park is proud to offer free winter lake cruises for the best chance of seeing our national symbol, the American bald eagle. Many other spectacular birds may also be in the area for viewing including American white pelicans, ducks, and snow geese. Please dress warmly as temperatures and winds can be more severe on the lake. In an effort to accommodate as many people as possible for our tours we will be taking reservations this year. Call the visitor center at (479) 967-5516  to reserve your seat. We will begin boarding 15 minutes before the tour, at the boat dock near the Fishing Tournament Weigh-In Facility. Also, in case of inclement weather, call 1 hour before tour time for possible cancellations.

Friday, February 17Guided Bird Hike @ DeGray Lake Resort State Park, 4:00pm
Meet at the Ampitheater to join the Great Backyard Bird Count and become a citizen scientist. Across the nation participants are counting all the birds they can find this weekend and you can help by joining this fun guided birding hike. All levels of birders are invited. Checklists and loaner binoculars are available. Come for the count, or just come to see the birds.

Friday, February 17Meet the String Family @ First Prebyterian Church Argenta, 6:00pm
In a new series from the William F. Laman Public Library Argenta Branch, children are introduced to the instruments of the string family, and then treated to a half-hour interactive performance from the Quapaw Quartet. The musicians will teach about their instruments, even letting kids get hands-on with a violin, viola and cello.

Saturday, February 18Seven Hollows Bird Count Hike @ Petit Jean State Park, 8:30am
Meet at the Seven Hollows trailhead to look for and help count birds for the 15th annual Great Backyard Bird Count. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring water to drink, and bring binoculars if you have them. A few extra binoculars are provided. This slow-paced hike is about ¼-mile long and lasts 45 minutes to an hour.

Saturday, February 18 Kindersongs Concert @ CALS Main Library Branch, 10:30am
Come check out local children’s musicians Brian & Terri Kinder as they sing, dance, and entertain during a 45 minute concert for kids of all ages!

Saturday, February 18Archery on the Lawn at Witt Stephens Jr. Nature Center, 12pm-2pm
Ages 10 and up can test their archery skills by shooting compound bows at square targets. No experience necessary for this drop-in activity.

Sunday, February 19Geology Hike @ Pinnacle Mountain State Park, 9:00am – 11:00am
Meeting place: Visitor Center. Part of the charm of Pinnacle Mountain State Park is the diverse geology found here, and there is no better place to see this than on the Rocky Valley Trail. Meet a park interpreter at the visitor center today to hike this trail and discover the unique geological characteristics of Pinnacle Mountain State Park. This is a moderately strenuos hike, so wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water.
