Join Brian and Terri Kinder for musical fun as this local singing and songwriting duo entertain kids and parents alike with their catchy, kid-friendly tunes.

Saturday, April 21Archery on the Lawn at Witt Stephens Jr. Nature Center, 12pm-2pm
Ages 10 and up can test their archery skills by shooting compound bows at square targets. No experience necessary for this drop-in activity.

Saturday, April 219th Annual Minority Health Fair @ Central High School’s Stadium, 10am-2pm
Participate in free health and dental screenings and pick up complimentary mental health information for youths, on topics such as peer pressure and bullying, anger and conflict management, depression and mental illnesses. Other activities include: a health and nutrition spelling bee; a health, science and technology trivia game; a fire truck and firefighters teaching fire safety; a climbing wall; plus face-painting, arts-and-crafts and a talent show.

Saturday, April 21Arkansas Earth Day Festival @ Heifer International, 11am-4pm
Booths and hands-on demonstrations will teach visitors how to recycle and reuse whenever possible. The Elevate Stage returns with lessons on green topics from yoga to raw food. Heifer International brings animals from the Heifer Ranch in Perryville to illustrate how food and income can be cultivated sustainably. Kids’ activities including a rock-climbing wall, tie-dyeing and recycled craft-making. You can also bring unwanted household goods and e-waste, including old cell phones and chargers. Freecycle will collect unwanted items and let visitors take them home.

Browse over 20 Etsy vendor booths, and listen to live music from Mike Mullins, Isaac Alexander, Michael Leonard Witham and Mandy McBryde. Children can have their faces painted for free. Chow down on snacks from The LR Food Truck, Hot Dog Mike and Tropical Sno.

Sunday, April 22 – Earth Day Celebration @ Lake Catherine State Park in Hot Springs
Programs and lake tours for all ages! Join in on the Kayak Shore Clean Up from 2-3pm. Register early if you need a kayak, or feel free to bring your own. Contact 501-844-4176 for more information
